Mind. Body. Spirit. Union. Witness. Oneness. That's why I come to the mat. Yoga allows for a daily rediscovery of the crazy-making ways of the mind and a reconnection to the vast, profound stillness, peace and truth. I am not the pain, pleasures, right or wrong but the witness to them. I originally found yoga as an elective credit for my BS Psychology degree in 2010 and it was love at first savasana. On occasion, the instructor would do a 63 point guided relaxation, which I would later come to find, was a small taste of the magical Yoga Nidra. I knew I was home.

Witnessing the changes in my body, mind and spirit in just one short semester, I knew I had to dive deeper and share this incredible gift with as many beautiful souls as possible. I went on to complete my 800-hour yoga teacher training, including specialties in Amrit Method Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, and Reflexology. I now have the sacred honor of sharing and living what I love.

Jessica Rosenkilde instructs the following:
  • Yoga Nidra
  • Hit the pause button and enter a state of deep yogic rest in this one hour guided meditation. Release tension and anxiety from your body and your mind. Room is not heated.
Yoga Nidra is a sleep-based guided meditation technique designed to allow you to connect to a state of deep relaxation throughout the body and mind. Studies show that breathing, intentional relaxation, and entering deeper brainwave states (as in sleep), can boost learning, memory, energy, and focus. Additionally, these techniques can lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, bring the body into balance, and prevent a host of stress-related diseases. Each session includes guided body awareness, breath awareness, and self awareness. The session may begin with gentle movement as we transition from our busy day to peaceful stillness. However, this class is not a movement based yoga class; rather, movement may be used as a tool to bring you closer to stillness.
