  • Yoga Nidra
  • Hit the pause button and enter a state of deep yogic rest in this one hour guided meditation. Release tension and anxiety from your body and your mind. Room is not heated.
    Yoga Nidra is a sleep-based guided meditation technique designed to allow you to connect to a state of deep relaxation throughout the body and mind. Studies show that breathing, intentional relaxation, and entering deeper brainwave states (as in sleep), can boost learning, memory, energy, and focus. Additionally, these techniques can lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, bring the body into balance, and prevent a host of stress-related diseases. Each session includes guided body awareness, breath awareness, and self awareness. The session may begin with gentle movement as we transition from our busy day to peaceful stillness. However, this class is not a movement based yoga class; rather, movement may be used as a tool to bring you closer to stillness.

    Please wear comfortable clothing. All of the following are optional, choose the items that will make you the most comfortable you can be as you lie in a sleep state on the floor for 45 minutes. The studio has limited supplies available.

    *YOGA MAT – provides some cushion between body and floor
    *1 to 4 BEACH TOWELS OR BLANKETS – used to prop the body for comfort or to cover the body as many people tend to feel cool during Nidra
    *PILLOW OR NECK PILLOW – provides additional cushion between the head and the floor
